Tanya will share 10 practical, strengths-based tips you can apply immediately to improve day-to-day support and quality of life for a person with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will walk away with simple, real-world strategies that, when applied effectively, contribute to reduced anxiety using clear tips to build predictability, understand what behaviour may be communicating (including sensory experiences of life), break tasks into manageable micro-steps, and support communication in the moment; approaches that can be just as useful for any person.

Behaviour Change Expert Tanya Curtis is a Senior Behaviour Specialist and FABIC Founding Director. Tanya has been supporting individuals and their formal and informal support teams to confidently and effectively apply practical behaviour change techniques since 2002.

Tanya is known for translating evidence-informed strategies into clear, practical steps that can be used immediately across home, school, and community settings. Autism Spectrum Disorder has been a major focus of her work, forming a large part of her practice and shaping her strengths-based approach to improving quality of life.
